EAST VILLAGE MAN TRIES TO BECOME FIRST-EVER AMERICAN AGENT FOR ISRAELI MOSSAD

Discovery Launches World Premiere Theatrical Production now opening on May 12, 2002

(Friday, April 19, 2002) Discovery, the non-profit Jewish organization whose programs have been experienced by over 150,000 American Jews across the United States, will launch their world premiere theatrical production Discovery on May 12th at the John Jay College Theater, before embarking on a New York City tour next month.

The psychodrama, Discovery, follows the quest of a man named Max who is trying to become the first American accepted into the Mossad (Israeli Intelligence Agency). His final and most difficult task consists of deciphering an encoded message in a period of 24 hours. While testing the validity of this document, Max meets a group of captivating characters that help him learn the analytical techniques that agents use to authenticate documents. On his thrilling journey, the audience is drawn into a fascinating and interactive means of revealing the true identity of the author of the Bible.

In continuing with the Discovery tradition, my goal is for audiences to leave the theater saying 'I had loads of fun and I have loads of questions," said Yaakov Salomon, creative director of Discovery.

Discovery events, previously hosted by Jason Alexander, Kirk Douglas and Elliot Gould, utilize computer science, multimedia, philosophy, psychology and Jewish history. For many American Jews, Discovery is a life changing experience.

Discovery opens at the John Jay College Theater on May 12th and will also be showing in New York City at Chicago City Limits and the American Place Theater. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. For information or to purchase tickets, please call (212) 921-9090 or visit Discoverys website at www.discoveryproduction.com.
