Started on the Mac

Introduced in 1998, REALbasic for Macintosh gained appeal for its similarity to Visual Basic. The product was an ideal choice for Macintosh computer users looking for “Visual Basic for the Macintosh.”

In 1999, the company added the ability for Macintosh developers to compile their software for Windows as well as Macintosh.
