Tennis.com and Dr. John F. Murray, former tennis professional and Palm Beach based sport performance psychologist, have agreed to terms in which Dr. Murray will be a regular columnist providing a new article every two weeks.

Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 6, 2006 -- Palm Beach sport psychologist and former tennis professional Dr. John F. Murray has agreed to terms with Miller Sports Group LLC, publisher of Tennis Magazine's online website at Tennis.com, to write a column every two weeks on Sports Science/Psychology tentatively scheduled to begin June 1.

Readers will have a chance to be heard. Many tennis players and coaches have questions, comments, complaints, or stories about their “mental tennis game." Dr. Murray’s answers and real participation will enliven the columns at Tennis.com.

Dr. Murray has written at least 10 articles for the print edition of Tennis Magazine and contributed to numerous Tennis Magazine stories in the past, but this will be his first regular column for Tennis Magazine. Content will include mental tips and strategies as well as stories and commentary from the world of tennis.

Murray is the author of "Smart Tennis: How to Play and Win the Mental Game" (Jossey-Bass/John Wiley, 1999) cover-endorsed by Lindsay Davenport, El Tenis (APA Press), and Chapter 6 Psychology of the USA Tennis High Performance Coaches Program (USTA/Human Kinetics, 2000).

He has written numerous articles in a variety of tennis magazines including Tennis, Tennis Week, ACE (Great Britain), USTA Magazine, Tennis Pro, Florida Tennis, TennisServer.com, and at least 15 smaller tennis publications.
