Bayville, NJ (PRWEB) May 12, 2006 -- The hit South American graphic novel, Warrior-M, written by Robin Wood and Illustrated by Roberto Goiriz, is being brought to sci-fi fans in North America. A hardcover English edition ships in June from Open Book Press.

In 2005 the creators from Ecuador released the original version to rave reviews and the book became one of the biggest sci-fi entertainment events of 2005 in South American countries. Since then the creative team has signed deals with several publishers worldwide to publish new editions translated into various languages. The deal with Open Book Press to publish the translated English edition was signed in summer of 2005 when the book was just gearing up for its original release.

Warrior-M is a man with a varied past. Former elite forces, galactic soldier, and planetary security; now a freelance mercenary whose regular work day can include everything from smuggling to assassination. Enter The Steel-Queen, a cybernetic crime boss who has spent a vast fortune experimenting with the creation of bio-engineered life forms. One of those life forms, a young child named Liana, has escaped. The ruthless Steel-Queen has hired Warrior-M to return her while a rival gang, the blood thirsty Chess-Players, want the girl for their own purposes.

Thanks to popular demand this hit South American graphic novel by Robin Wood and Roberto Goiriz has been translated to English and published as a prestige edition hardcover for the North American market. A deluxe 8 ½” X 11, format full color, hardcover; an exclusive edition meant for only the most hardcore sci-fi fans.

The collector’s hardcover edition of “Warrior-M” (ISBN: 1-897290-00-4) ships in June. For those who aren’t quite a big enough sci-fi fan to bankroll the collector’s edition, but want to check out what all the fuss is about, a soft cover edition will be released sometime in Summer 2006.
