Author Sankara Saranam Wins 2006 Independent Publishers Award (IPPY) in Religion Category for 'God Without Religion'

God Without Religion author, Sankara Saranam, wins 2006 IPPY award in religion category.

(PRWEB) May 13, 2006 -- God Without Religion, by Albuquerque author Sankara Saranam (Pranayama Institute, 2005), edited and produced by Blessingway Author Services, has won this year’s IPPY (Independent Publishers) Award in the Religion category.

Ellen Kleiner, of Blessingway and Ancient City Press, was named one of this year’s ten Outstanding Women in Independent Publishing by the Jenkins Group.

Both will be awarded at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, in Washington, DC, on May 19.

The Independent Publisher Book Awards, launched in 1996, are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers. Established as the first awards program open exclusively to independents, nearly 800 IPPYs have been awarded to publishers throughout North America. All independent, university, small press, and self-publishers are eligible to enter their books in the IPPY award competition.

Even with vigorous national competition, two of the top awards have gone to New Mexico residents.
