Minnick Web Services Announces First Annual 'J to Steakers' Timed to coincide with San Francisco's Bay to Breakers Race, the half-mile race will begin at the Minnick Web Services world headquarters and end with the eating of steak tacos (also known as "steakers"). Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2006 -- San Francisco's famous annual cross-city race, Bay to Breakers, now has some competition. Minnick Web Services today announced that it will be sponsoring a race in Sacramento on the same day -- the third Sunday in May (May 21 this year).
The Sacramento race has been named "J to Steakers" because it will begin at the Minnick Web Services world headquarters on J Street (between 25th and 26th) and will end at the La Fiesta Taqueria on Alhambra Blvd (approximately half a mile away) where participants will eat carne asada tacos (aka "steakers").
J to Steakers is part of the Minnick Web Services "Have some fun. Make some money." initiative, which seeks to create balance between the work and personal lives of Minnick Web Services' employees and partners and to create and maintain a creative and fun work environment.
Sponsors for the event include Minnick Web Services, Rogers Screen Printing, Cuffs Urban Apparel, Bearded Lady Buttons, and PeptoGirl Industries.
Anyone who wishes to participate should show up at 26th and J at noon on Sunday. Participants must purchase their own tacos and beverages. A limited number of J to Steakers t-shirts will be available for $12 each.
