Nicolette Picerno, MD Offers New "Adjustable Facelift" Advanced Contour Threads Procedure Dr. Nicolette Picerno is Denver’s first plastic surgeon to perform the “Adjustable Facelift” that gives the option of adjusting the level of lifting as patients recover from swelling. Offers dramatic results and little to no downtime. Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 16, 2006 -- With the abundance of injectable procedures on the market, many have found relief with minimally invasive procedures and no downtime. But what about problems that BOTOX and Restylane injections cannot remedy? Once, the unsatisfied had few options – the often ineffective Contour Threads or the traditional, highly invasive facelift. Now, there is a minimally invasive option that actually works…the Adjustable Facelift. Dr. Nicolette Picerno (www.nicolettepicernomd.com), a double board certified facial plastic surgeon is the first in Colorado to perform the Adjustable Facelift.
The Advanced Contour Threads or “Adjustable Facelift” has been deemed the most effective and longest lasting minimally invasive technique on the market. Similar to the procedure of the already existent Contour Threadlift, the Adjustable Facelift uses newer threads with barbs that are inserted into small holes (not incisions) in the hairline. The threads are 30 percent stronger than their predecessor. They cling onto the muscle and the skin that is then pulled over a period of three days to maximize the lift even after swelling. The Adjustable Lift has significantly less downtime than a traditional facelift and unlike the original Contour Thread lift, no scarring or obvious knots on the sides of the face.
Always understanding the importance of implementing the most effective procedures, Dr. Picerno was the first in Denver to attend advanced training in Beverly Hills and is now the sole double board certified plastic surgeon offering the procedure to patients in Colorado.
“I like the Adjustable Facelift because it gives me the flexibility to go in and fine tune the level of lifting as the patient heals. This makes the procedure so much more effective and gives a much better result than the original Contour Threadlift,” stated Dr. Picerno. “What’s more is that it is very minimally invasive, which means patients get a long lasting result without harsh surgery and long downtimes,” she finished.
Cost for the Adjustable Facelift ranges from $2,200 to $9,000, depending on the level of lifting needed. It takes anywhere from 45 minutes to three hours in the doctor’s office and can be completed under local anesthesia, not general, contributing to the low risks of the procedure.
The Adjustable Facelift is not recommended for patients with a loss of elasticity in their skin or full round faces. The results of the procedure last from three to five years and can be preformed on a patient multiple times.
