While going on vacation with your children can be great fun, the stress and challenges of getting there can be frustrating. Tot-a-Doodle-Do! Transportation helps ease some of the hassle with educational and entertaining lessons and activities.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 22, 2006 -- While traveling with children can be enjoyable, any parent can tell you, a long plane or car ride can be challenging with little ones in tow. Children’s Creative Programming Partnership LLC, producers of Tot-a-Doodle-Do!, an innovative, educational children’s television show that incorporates follow-along activities and crafts, is announcing the release of Tot-a-Doodle-Do!: Transportation to educate children about the many forms of transportation and how to behave properly during travel, an aspect of their daily life. Visit http://www.totadoodledo.com for more information.

Tot-a-Doodle-Do!’s latest episode, Transportation, provides entertainment for the children while in the car or on the airplane complete with a craft kit that kids can do while on the road or in the hotel. In addition to entertaining the child on the go, it also teaches and demonstrates the proper manners needed for travel.

“The goal behind Tot-a-Doodle-Do! was to create a show that incorporated six elements that are not currently found in one 30-minute children’s program,” says Heidi Heller Niehart, creator and co-producer. “We invite children to join us and follow-along as we entertain and guide them to use skills that they need in their everyday life such as proper manners, how to prepare nutritious snacks, use their imagination and get their daily exercise.”

The episode has six segments following the outline below:

·In the Crafty Kids segment, children improve their fine motor skills while making A Paper Train.

·Imagination Station gives children the opportunity to pretend to be different vehicles and use their memory while playing the “I’m Going On A Trip” game.

·In On Our Block, the kids get to meet our friend, the airplane pilot, and ask him questions.

·Sing and Dance along with Hop N Bop to “The Transportation Song” and “I Am A Train”.

·Make a yummy and delicious sailboat snack during our Super Snack segment.

·Our puppet, Molly Manners, will teach the children how to behave on a bus, train, car trip and with visitors.

“The educational value of the show is pertinent to today’s preschoolers and early elementary students because each segment has been specifically constructed to stimulate important developmental skills that are critical for children at this age,” states Penny Cohen, Speech and Language Pathologist, Child Development Specialist, and co-creator of Tot-a-Doodle-Do!. “The key to the Tot-a-Doodle-Do! programming is that each episode focuses on a central theme and through the use of music, arts, crafts and creative dramatics works to develop important fine and gross motor skills, communication, cognitive and socialization skills.”

Tot-a-Doodle-Do! was founded by Heidi Heller Niehart in 2004, a mother of three and a businesswoman with a background in public relations and marketing. Heidi had an idea for a television program that would incorporate follow-along activities for children with their parents and/or caregiver. She approached her friend Penny L. Cohen, a Speech & Language Pathologist and child development specialist, who has worked with children for many years as a speech therapist, singer, songwriter, and music and theatre teacher. Heidi and Penny embarked on a journey together to co-produce an innovative show that would entertain and educate children. The final result was Tot-a-Doodle-Do!
