Vendini Announces Ticket Scanning System for Apple iPod Touch

Vendini announced today it will begin selling a solution that allows venues of all sizes to use the Apple iPod Touch to validate tickets for entry to concerts, sporting events, performing arts, and other entertainment events.

Any Apple iPod Touch can be docked with the Vendini laser scanner. The laser device communicates with the Vendini application which will be available for free from the Apple App Store. Tickets can be validated at the point of entry for access control to prevent fraud and alert staff to VIPs.
