Find Any Place on Earth with Glosk.com, a Free New Service Allowing Users to Browse and Search Entire Planet With over 7,300,000 locations currently available and more than 240 countries, glosk.com has reopened its doors to general public, after being offline for almost a year. Porto, Portugal (PRWEB) May 25, 2006 -- As soon as we enter the site, we are surprised with the minimalist, yet attractive, look of Glosk. The process of searching is so simple that users just have to choose if they want to browse through their country, to search for a location, or to explore all countries.
When a location is finally reached or discovered, visitors can see pages and photos of other people, upload their own content, see an interactive map, satellite imagery – provided in partnership with Google, and also look for nearby locations.
Everyone is invited to contribute on this site, either by uploading photos or by creating pages related to a specified location.
“Our goal is to build a strong web community of proactive visitors who will help us indexing the entire world,” said Jorge Oliveira, IT developer at Glosk.com. “While we are still in Beta state, we are proud to provide one of the fastest and coolest services of this kind.”
