New Web Site Features Free Science Fair Projects for Kids, by Kids Virtual Contest to Select Best Projects Announced

Students looking for free science fair projects can find them on the newly launched www.free-science-fair-projects.net, which includes award-winning projects from students all over the world. Evanston, IL (PRWEB) May 26, 2006 -- Students looking for free science fair projects can find them on the newly launched www.free-science-fair-projects.net, which includes award-winning projects from students all over the world. Among them is one that demonstrated the effects of fertilizer on algae growth in pond water. In another, a student isolated, incubated and then harvested indoor allergens.

“The project that impressed us the most was submitted by a student who invented a sensor for a blind person’s cane,” says website founder Madeline Binder, a teacher and counselor. “The sensor was able to detect ice on a sidewalk two feet away.”

New contest announced. Ms. Binder encourages science fair enthusiasts in grades K-12 to enter the 2006 Virtual Science Fair Projects Contest. “In addition to gaining a feeling of pride in their accomplishment, students can list this on their college applications,” she says. The winning projects will be published on the web site, but only the student’s first name, state, country and grade will be revealed.

Entrants are allowed to submit any previous science fair project that they created. If they would like to create a new project, they can go to www.super-science-fair-projects.com where there are over 500 free ideas they can use.

Every entrant will receive a free copy of Super Science Fair Projects eBook, which offers a process for finding and completing a science fair project as well as access to helpful Internet resources. First prize is a Magnacraft 50mm power telescope with a genuine glass optics system. There will be one first prize winner in each of these categories:
