The Kentucky Derby - "the most exciting two minutes in sports" - is everyone's race this year at BOURBON STEAK at the Fairmont Scottsdale Hotel. On Saturday, May 1, the crown jewel of Scottsdale steak houses will celebrate the 136th Run for the Roses with its first annual Millionaire's Row Kentucky Derby Lawn Party from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Whether you're more of an "infield" reveler or a "Millionaire's Row" spectator, each guest at the Scottsdale fine dining establishment will enjoy all of the traditions that have played a large role in the Derby atmosphere, including frosty mint juleps, live music, bourbon tastings, wine, horseshoes on the lawn, wagering, prizes and gifts. The party will feature Scottsdale fine dining traditions with a southern flair including the Kentucky Hot Brown, Squash Blossoms, Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, Pulled Pork Sliders and more. Guests can also view their favorite silks during the world's premier horse-racing event on plasma screens both inside and out. In addition, Fairmont Scottsdale's National Champion thoroughbred, DESTINEE, will be paraded throughout the crowd before retreating to the "Winner's Circle" for photos.

And because the Derby is just as much about fashion as it is horse racing and drinking mint juleps, women of grace and taste are encouraged to complete their Derby look with their classiest and most stylish hats for chance to win fabulous prizes in the Chapeau contest, evaluated by the "mystery" judge and Arizona's leading authority on nightlife and style. Dapper gents can either sport seersucker or sip it - as BOURBON STEAK's executive chef Daniel Patino has created a signature "Seersucker Cocktail" in honor of the event.

Tickets to the Scottsdale steak house's event are $65 per person and include complimentary valet parking. Reservations are suggested by calling 480.513.6002.
