Glam-glorifying Female Fronted Rock Band Undercurrent Starts Nationwide Commercial Radio Campaign

Strater Records officially releases the vampy rock single "Night & Day," off Undercurrent's debut self-titled album May 30th.

(PRWEB) May 31, 2006 -- Yes, she, lead Rachel Car, wears caked-on makeup, suits and stilettos. Yes, they look a bit out of step with current trends. That may be because neither the band, nor their supportive label really care for current trends.

Hollywood-based rock band Undercurrent, is coming to your hometown - via your radio for starters.

The first single is a unanimous choice for airplay. Already known for its catchy hook and oddly obsessive lyrics, "Night & Day" is falling into the hands of program directors nationwide this week.

The campaign is being lead by Howard Rosen Promotions. Rosen, an industry veteran, has broken such acts as Blondie, and is also currently promoting, amongst others, Bon Jovi and Nickleback.

A few months after the debut album was quietly made available through the Undercurrent website, Strater Records is ready to take this album public. The band signed with the boutique label, also based in Hollywood, earlier in 2006. "Undercurrent is a band I felt intensely drawn to," says Erin Strater, label owner. "Their debut album is resoundingly different and musical."

This album and those to come, promise to revitalize the lost hopes of music fans, swimming in the wallowing, redundant hell that is commercial radio.

Listen for "Night & Day" on your local pop / hit station and check out the official band site www.undercurrentla.com for more info.
