“The Writing Parent” Ezine is Reborn and Ready to Launch The publisher of Food Writing ezine prepares to launch a re-make of "The Writing Parent" ezine. "The Writing Parent" focuses on the unique challenges that parents who write face, as well as bringing up-to-date market information and calls for submissions. The tightly focused writing articles will also be of interest to all writers of all genres. Launch date is August 8, 2006. Adams, NY (PRWEB) June 10, 2006 -- “I’m a writer. I’m a parent. What else could I do?” says Pamela White, publisher of the online newsletter Food Writing, about her development of a second ezine aimed at another writer’s niche.
“I wrote for Angela Giles Klocke’s ‘The Writing Parent’ for years and I truly missed it when it ended. One day, while walking on my treadmill, listening to a CD about marketing writing online, editing an essay, and telling the kids to turn off the TV and go outside for some fresh air, it hit me. I wanted to recreate ‘The Writing Parent.’ After all, I know the challenges we face and the amazing ways we multi-task to keep our writing dreams growing. ”
She emailed Ms. Klocke first and asked what her former editor thought about her idea to launch “The Writing Parent.” “She gave me her blessing, and here we are!”
“The Writing Parent,” in its current incarnation, will be a tightly focused, bi-weekly ezine with articles on writing, thriving as a writing parent, breaking into fiction and non-fiction markets, and listings of markets for writers and calls for submission. The first issue will be published August 8.
In addition to publishing the ezine, Ms. White will also offer a series of six online writing classes. “I’m simply following the business model of my first writers website, Food-Writing.com.” She taught the first online Food Writing class, and has revised it annually since 2001 helping hundreds of students to launch food writing careers.
The Writing Parent website will also offer a selection of writing books and ebooks for sale. She is the author of a number of ebooks including FabJob’s Guide to Become a Food Writer, Freelance Writing: Begin the Adventure, and Make Money as a Food Writer in Six Lessons.
Her articles on food, parenting and writing have appeared in print and online in venues such as Writer’s Digest, ByLine Magazine, Home Cooking, Low Carb Energy, Writers Weekly, Absolute Write, and regional and local magazines and newspapers.
The Writing Parent, beginning August 8, 2006, is an ezine for writers and parents who know that the dream of writing success cannot wait. (Writers without children will enjoy the ezine too). Please visit www.thewritingparent.net to subscribe.
