Chicago Journalist and Educator Writes First Book: 'Hot Dogs On Saturday: 1960, Tennessee' What happens when a young mother dies too soon? What happens when a community is turned on its head? What happens when children are caught in the middle? Frederick, MD (PRWEB) June 12, 2006 -- PublishAmerica is proud to present "Hot Dogs On Saturday" by Chicago, Illinois author, Josh Samuels. "Hot Dogs On Saturday" is an eloquent work of contemporary fiction... and will quickly resonate with audiences," said Executive Director Miranda Prather of PublishAmerica.
"Hot Dogs on Saturday" is both history and future, joy and pain, life and death, fear and choices, all in a small, rural, black community on the outskirts of Memphis, Tennessee.
It asks the questions: What does a young father do with four children after the sudden death of his wife? Who, if anyone, would be willing to step from the whispering shadows and offer a hand? What happens when children are caught in the middle?
"Hot Dogs On Saturday" answers these questions and more in this poignant work of fiction that draws much of its storyline from factual childhood events, and the answers will captivate readers for years.
