Accomplished Author and Small Business Owner Offers Writing Teleclasses at University of Masters Students who want to learn to write for children and/or develop a freelance writing career can now find out how by taking two teleclasses offered through www.universityofmasters.com. Kansas City, Missouri (PRWEB) June 11, 2006 -- Few know the business of writing like Suzanne Lieurance.
An accomplished children's book author, freelance writer, writing coach, and small business owner, Lieurance is offering her expertise in a course called "Writing for Children" at the Univeristy of Masters and another called "Making the Leap: How to Jump into Freelance Writing." Both of these courses will help beginning writers learn the basics of writing, plus find out to get their freelance writing careers started.
As a member of the University of Masters, a person can take any number of courses offered by experts on various topics such as marketing, life coaching or health. Participants can either listen to a live, interactive session or a recorded session.
"Many people download the workshops onto Mp3 players and listen to them on the way to work," says Lieurance. "It’s a great way to maximize your time."
As an author of 12 books and numerous magazine articles, Lieurance will share her first-hand experience breaking into the publishing world. She’ll also help workshop attendees develop the skills they need to become successful working freelance writers.
"I will help participants in my "Writing for Children" course learn to use ‘the core of three’ principle to create enjoyable stories for children," says Lieurance. "I’ll also help them learn to market their work. In my course about freelance writing, I'll give writers tips for launching a successful freelance career."
One of the keys to success in any venture, Lieurance knows, is time management. Not only does she have a successful writing career, she also owns and manages the Three Angels Gourmet Company. This small but growing business wholesales "heavenly gourmet mixes" to specialty shops and food stores throughout the country.
"Running a freelance writing business and a small gourmet food company is always a delicate balance," says Lieurance. "But the more I can tie the two together, the better I am able to balance the two businesses, and the more I enjoy both of them."
Lieurance maintains a website and online blogs for both businesses. "Keeping the blog for the Three Angels business lets me write while I promote my gourmet food business," she says. She also has many tips and articles for writers at her writing website and blog.
