The Pet Industry is a 39 Billion Dollar Industry and growing rapidly. We are encouraged to buy, buy, buy, through print Ads, the Internet and TV. We do buy and we do think of our pets as family members. But no one tells us how to deal with the grief when we lose our 4 legged family member. Lighthouse Point, Florida (PRWEB) June 11, 2006 -- The images of the Katrina disaster brought about a new awareness of how important and loved our pets are. Many people reluctantly left their pets behind that day. Some just refused to leave them because they were unable to fend for themselves. People preferred to take their chances and die with their pets if it came to that.

We saw helpless dogs and cats swimming in tainted waters begging for help, but there was no help for thousands who perished.

Soon after Katrina I lost my beloved dog who died at home. With the images of Katrina still fresh in my mind I realized that there is not much help available to those who are grieving the loss of their furry family member, so I designed and launched a new "Pet Loss Comfort Community" Website. A virtual network for information, resources and help for those who perhaps do not have enough support in their private lives.

Petseverlasting.com is about reaching out to those who need a kind word or just a simple email to say we understand your grief and loss, and we are here for you if you need us.

Anyone who uses our free text memorial service will receive a handwritten email from a petseverlasting.com member offering our condolences, our assistance, and support. The Website was launched on 4/16/06, in our short existence Petseverlasting has touched many hearts and we have made many new friends, who now in return are reaching out to others in our community.
