Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Domain Name’s for Sale Creates Huge Moral Controversy

Lovethename.com launches “Fame Capitalization’ section of site. Since Domain names such as “Brangelina” or ChildrenofJolie-Pitt” are hot commodities in the Top Level Domain (TLD) name game, investors are keeping a sharp eye put for celebrity domain names. Whether it is Brad Pitt, Katie Holmes - Tom Cruise, cyberspace gives a whole knew meaning to “LoveTheName.com”

(PRWEB) June 12, 2006 -- Colorado LoveTheName.com is at the center of a controversy brewing over how far is too far. They have created a new category at their site called “Fame Capitalization” and are featuring domains for sale such as www.ChildrenofJolie-Pitt.com at their website and this has created quite a stir.

Rever Thabiti Sr. VP Sales & Mktg says, “The have-nots are realizing that owning domain names provides an immediate position of advantage, influence and control. The haves are seeing the power and impact a single individual can have using web addresses/domain names that lead to them, especially, when you are the most important personal news interest in the entire free world, like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.”

Domainworks.biz disagrees. They write, “The folks at LoveThe Name.com are so conflicted! Earn a fast buck? Or protect Brangelina from greedy cybersquatters? It sounds like their conscience is wrestling with their business plan.”

Beth Loehrke, Media Spokesperson, LoveTheName.com fired right back by saying “LoveTheName.com’s main objective is to create the most instant millionaires via cyberspace than anyone else. LoveTheName.com has leveled the playing field so that small investors can compete in the lucrative domain name aftermarket and the competition is so upset they don’t know what to do but go on the attack at us.”

Ryan McCann, EcomercePartners.net had this to say about what LoveTheName.com is doing, “There is value in all top level domain names or TLD’s. It just depends how you use them."

The company offers Domain Names for Republicans and Democrats, Christianity and erotica and says they’re not trying to advocate anything other than providing exactly what the market dictates.

Thabiti adds “We teach the 3P system (Purchase/Protect/Prevent) to our clients and the market has taken notice that celebrities are the quickest to act on it. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are paying the price for not moving fast enough. Britney Spears had to overcome a brutal fight for her son’s domain name. Gwen Stefani recently secured the names for her new baby.

Thabiti says, “Blaming and excuses are only the recipe losers use to fail. To win the game today means you have to be the first to act, procrastination is the thief of opportunity and if you lose, you will get a lot of advice from other losers too.”
