Conxsys Releases Lotus Domino E-mail Retention Compliance Utility

Logistic for Lotus Domino, Conxsys’ document retention and purging utility for the IBM Lotus Domino environment, has been released. The utility provides organizations the means to ensure document retention compliance and purging from Lotus Domino mail databases in a simplified manner.

Formerly known as Domino Procuro, Logistic for Lotus Domino is an e-mail retention and purging application built for IBM Lotus Domino environments. Utilizing a centralized Domino database, administrators can effortlessly create jobs to purge e-mail, generate e-mail retention reports, and send notifications to users based on their current e-mail retention usage.

While e-mail has become the foremost form of communication in most organizations, the burden has been put on the administrators and operations staff to keep mail database sizes under control.

With its emphasis on easing the costly administrative and hardware overhead of maintaining massive amounts of e-mail, Logistic for Lotus Domino jobs are highly configurable. Jobs can be configured differently per server, user, and view/folder so that, for example, an organizations VIP’s can maintain a separate retention policy than the rest of the employees.

Given this flexibility, corporate legal departments will be free to create retention policies granular enough to allow for separate retention periods for specific views such as 30-day retention for the Inbox and 15-day retention for Sent.

Logistic for Lotus Domino also provides the ability to purge, report, or send notifications based on e-mail content. Any field in an e-mail can be searched for keywords/phrases or file attachments including fields that are not visible to the user, utilizing simple full-text query commands. Multiple commands can be strung together to form complex conditional searches enhancing the power of this utility.
