Topics Education Awarded Top Honors Association for Educational Publishers Recognizes Firm's Work. Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) June 16, 2006 -- The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), announced Topics Education, an education outreach firm, as the winner of two Distinguished Achievement Awards at the AEP Annual Banquet and Gala held Friday, June 9 at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C. The two awards — one for Thematic Curriculum Package for adults, and the other for Website Design for children — demonstrate Topics Education’s breadth and depth of expertise in education outreach.
“This recognition is both an honor and a testament to the commitment of our clients and to the great work of our team here at Topics Education,” said Phelps Sprinkle, President and CEO of Topics Education. “The AEP Awards set the standard for supplemental education resources and we are proud to be recognized as a leader in this space.”
In the category of Instructional Materials, Topics Education received the Thematic Curriculum Package for Adults award for their Citi Cards - Credit-ED Challenge campaign. Launched in September of 2005, the national credit education outreach program was designed to boost awareness among college students about their credit score and credit history. Credit-ED Challenge has already met with great success, used in 97% of the colleges and universities targeted in its first year. Topics Education manages all aspects of this ongoing campaign.
Topics Education was also victorious in AEP’s Technology category. The firm won for its interactive website design of SafeSide Severe Weather Challenge on weatherclassroom.com. Averaging about 13,400 unique visits a month, the website educates current and future customers about the weather and weather-related issues. The interactive SafeSide Severe Weather Challenge learning unit provides an interactive fun way for students to learn about planning for, preparing for, and reacting to severe weather conditions, from thunderstorms to hurricanes to extreme hot and cold weather.
“Both our winning projects share a common component – audience identification – and our work on each project involved detailed analysis, targeting, and outreach. These efforts led to phenomenal response in opt-in results for Citi Cards and for website traffic for The Weather Channel,” continued Sprinkle.
