NC State University and OSHA have partnered to provide a free safety and health management training program online. This self-instructional course is designed for small- and medium- sized organizations, but is available to anyone.

NCSU Centennial Campus, NC (PRWEB) June 26, 2006 -- Now, any business of any size can invest in safety.

Funded by a Susan Harwood grant, North Carolina State University has developed OSHA Safety and Health Management Systems for Small Businesses, a free, classroom-quality training online at www.ies.ncsu.edu/safetyhealthmgmt.

Small businesses oftentimes do not have an adequate work force or financial resources to implement an effective safety and health management system (SHMS). This course is designed to assist small- and medium-sized businesses in developing and implementing an effective SHMS. NC State’s self-instructional program is designed to help any company implement an SHMS that is:

-- Easy to develop

-- Inexpensive

-- Done in-house

-- Reflects your way of doing business

-- Based on specific needs of your workplace

OSHA Safety and Health Management Systems for Small Businesses is designed for small- and medium- sized organizations, but is available to anyone, online, 24/7.
