Ecora Software Names Joe Fiorentino President and Chief Executive Officer

Ecora Software has announced the appointment of Joe Fiorentino as president and chief executive officer. Fiorentino is responsible for setting the company's vision and strategy and driving overall execution.

Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) June 27, 2006 -- Ecora Software, the leader in software solutions supporting IT control, compliance, and security, today announced the appointment of Joe Fiorentino as president and chief executive officer. Fiorentino is responsible for setting the company's vision and strategy and driving overall execution. Under Fiorentino, Ecora will continue to extend its leadership position as the premier provider of Change & Configuration Management software solutions.

Fiorentino brings more than 25 years experience managing and leading high-growth software companies by building world-class teams, creating strategic alliances and channels while delivering best-in-class products. Prior to joining Ecora, he served as president and chief executive officer for Waltham-based Idiom Technologies, Inc. In his role at Idiom, Fiorentino established a leadership position in the industry, validated by securing business with leading Fortune 100 customers while doubling revenues year over year. Prior successes include his role as vice president of worldwide sales for Eprise Corporation and various executive positions at Cisco, Sun Microsystems and FTP Software Inc.

“Succeeding in today’s competitive marketplace requires a unique combination of vision and leadership,” commented Alex Bakman, Ecora founder, who was recently named chairman of the board. “It is clear to the board and me that Joe has the knowledge, experience, focus and drive necessary to guide Ecora’s continued growth and success.”

“This is an exciting time for Ecora and I look forward to the challenge of leading the company into its next stage of growth,” said Fiorentino. “Our patented approach for automating the collection, tracking and reporting of key infrastructure configuration settings puts us in a position of leadership in the market, and we’re poised for even greater success going forward as companies plan their information security, IT audit and regulatory compliance strategies for the end of 2006 and into 2007.”

Fiorentino’s appointment coincides with Ecora’s announcement of major enhancements to its flagship Auditor product. Based on customer demand, Auditor now reports on VMware ESX server configurations, mitigating the heightened security risks associated with virtual environments. It also provides full, web-based access to a comprehensive executive dashboard.
