The Polly Klaas® Foundation is seeking new Board members from the nine-county San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento region.

Petaluma, CA (PRWeb) March 7, 2007 -- The Polly Klaas® Foundation, based in Petaluma, California, is seeking new members from the nine-county San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento region to join its Board of Directors.

The Foundation is a national non profit founded in 1993 following the abduction and murder of Polly Klaas. Committed to the recovery of missing children and the promotion of child abduction prevention programs, the organization operates a 24/7 hotline 365 days a year, provides comprehensive child find services, and offers prevention/education materials including Child Safety Kits and Internet Safety Kits. The Foundation works closely with law enforcement professionals to find missing children and with policymakers on critical child safety legislation - such as Amber Alert.

The Foundation has an active online presence, www.pollyklaas.org, with thousands of new visitors each month from around the world. Online engagement includes access to safety kits and other sources of child abduction prevention information, a monthly eNewsletter and opportunities to participate in our eVolunteer programs.
