New Zealand Singer/Songwriter Scores Number One on Country Music Top 20

Kiwi singer/songwriter Luigi Cappel hits No 1 with his song ‘Only Memories Survive’ on the MusicForte Country Music Top 20.

Cappel prefers to be known as a songwriter than a performer, but recognises that the person most motivated to perform their music is likely to be the writer. “I hope that others will enjoy my music and that it will come to the attention of performers looking for new material.” He said, “I am writing songs as fast as I can, given that I also have a day job and family responsibilities. Eventually I aim to be able to make a living writing music.”
