Eye Exam Yields Valentine’s Surprise at Dello Russo Laser Vision; Dr. Joseph Dello Russo keeps lid on V-Day Surprise

Love At First Sight: ‘W-I-L-L Y-O-U M-A-R-R-Y M-E?’

NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 9, 2006 -- She was a good hour late for her 10:30 a.m. eye exam. However, Jennifer Mano, 26, could certainly blame her longtime boyfriend for this one.

Ryan Page, 26, was a little nervous for this particular visit to the eye doctor in Manhattan. After all the snow, the drive in from New Jersey took a lot longer than planned and finding a parking space among the snowdrifts was a challenge.

The bigger challenge was pulling off a Valentine’s Day surprise -- at a doctor’s office -- that would hopefully have a happy ending.

At the bottom of Mano’s special eye chart were some letters not normally found on standard charts: “W-I-L-L Y-O-U M-A-R-R-Y M-E?”

When she read those extra letters, she was momentarily confused. Page was down on one knee with a diamond ring.

How did this idea come about? Page bought Mano laser eye surgery for Christmas, and she was so happy with the gift of better sight that Page hatched the plan with Dr. Joseph Dello Russo, the surgeon who performed the operation.

Mano of Hazlett, NJ, and Page of Middletown, NJ, will dine tonight with both sets of parents.
