Soldiers' Angels Salutes The Eastern Oklahoma Woodcarvers Association

Soldiers Angels teams with artisans to get hand carved canes to wounded heroes.

(PRWEB) July 12, 2006 -- Soldiers’ Angels applaud and salutes The Woodcarvers Association in honoring our post 9/11 veterans. Soldiers Angels will pay postage for canes sent to our veterans.

The Cane Project is led by Jack Nitz and the canes are intended for any post 9/11 veteran who has obtained a leg injury while serving our country. All canes are hand crafted and have an American Bald Eagle Head for the handle. This is the Eastern Oklahoma Woodcarvers Association’s way to honor, salute and thank our military for the sacrifices they have made for our country.

Texas Woodcarvers Association has followed suite with 100 Canes available to wounded residents in the state of Texas.

"These canes are hand carved by woodcarvers of the State. We have been at this project for almost 18 months now. We know there are troopers out there that could use one of these canes. We want to give our support even if it is to just boost morale."

In honor of this worthy project Soldiers' Angels will provide the shipping, so the wounded recipient will receive this comfort item ASAP.

If you know of any post 9/11 veterans that have sustained a leg injury and you would like him/her to receive a cane please contact:
