NeoStrata Launches Program with NABCO to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

For every sale of Revitalizing Eye Collection, NeoStrata will make a donation to NABCO this October

PRINCETON, N.J./NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- June 27, 2002 -- NeoStrata, a research-based dermatological company dedicated to the advancement of skin care and dermatological treatments, has launched a new effort to raise awareness about good breast health and the importance of early detection with the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations (NABCO), the leading non-profit information and education resource on breast cancer in the U.S. This collaboration will also raise funds to support NABCO and marks the fifth year that NeoStrata has actively supported the breast cancer cause.

For each sale of its Revitalizing Eye Collection during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NeoStrata will make a donation to NABCO. The collection includes Purifying Cleansing Gel, Hydrating Lift Eye Complex, Multi-Function Concealer and samples of SkinRise Morning Bionic Tonic and Vespera Bioinic Serum and sells for $45.00 (a $58.00 value). Funds raised from this initiative will support NABCO's nationwide education, information and outreach activities. The program kicks off this summer with a national advertising campaign, as well as in-store counter displays, free educational brochures and gifts-with-purchase, which include early detection information and pink ribbons.

NeoStrata annually promotes breast cancer awareness and reminds consumers about the importance of yearly mammograms and breast exams," says Lynda Farrington Wilson, vice president, U.S. Market Development for NeoStrata. This partnership with NABCO extends our corporate commitment and underscores our ongoing concern for womens health. NeoStrata supports skin cancer education, as well, and advocates "casual sun" protection with everyday use of a sunscreen and products that contain SPF 15 or higher to prevent UVA and UVB sun damage."

About Breast Cancer

According to NABCO:

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women in the U.S. today.

One out of nine women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

Every woman is at risk for breast cancer.

Although breast cancer cannot be prevented, it can be detected at an early, treatable stage.

"The involvement and support of NeoStrata will extend NABCO's reach," said Amy Langer, NABCO's executive director and a 17-year breast cancer survivor. "We're grateful for this new opportunity to offer vital facts, guidance and to help women take charge of their breast health."
