SCARAMOUCHE PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES

2002-2003 DEVELOPMENT SLATE

NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS, Monday, June 28, 2002: Scaramouche Productions announced this week the projects that make up its 2002-2003 production slate. Scaramouche CEO and President Melissa Centazzo made the announcement, “We’re excited about each of the projects on the list. They represent the kind of creativity and originality that characterizes this enterprise.” Scaramouche Productions is a film production and multimedia creative group that offers a wide range of producing, directing, and writing services.

Centazzo encourages potential production partners to contact her about any of the following projects. “Our 2002-2003 production schedule exemplifies the wide range of scripts we’re able to offer,” said Centazzo. “Yet there is one common thread running through every project: the ability to elicit emotion from an audience.” Scaramouche Productions offers many film-related services, including script consultation, script re-writes, script breakdown, research, production packages, budgets and business plans. “We take ideas for film, video, or multimedia projects,” Centazzo asserted, “and help shape those dreams into reality.”

The following are the projects in development at Scaramouche for 2002-2003.

·    Shoot for the Moon by Blair Jones is a stirring biography of Mary Edmonia Lewis, the first African/Native American woman to have a sculpture in the National Gallery of Art. We have also acquired two more of Ms. Jones’ screenplays, Kelly Girl, a fictious, but infectious, story of the first female NFL referee and in State of the Union she hypothesizes the atmosphere of the United States if slavery had not been abolished.

·    Belle by Joanne Koch and Sarah Blacher Cohen tells the poignant biopic of comedienne Belle Barth and her rise and fall in the often tragic world of entertainment.

·    Quartet penned by Gary Larimore (represented by Gary Dean of Coralie Jr. Agency) contains four quirky, engaging vignettes that explore the genres of comedy, horror, suspense, and drama.

·    Safe Harbor by Joanne Koch is the true story of the Greek people who saved a Jewish family during the Nazi occupation of Greece during World War II.

·    Earthly Desires by Charles Deemer tells the tale of a shy English professor who is given a night with a young call girl for his 50th birthday; a gift that leads him into a strange world of high tech deceit and blackmail. (Co-producing with David Gottlieb of Never a Dull Moment Productions.)

·    Deadly Perfection by Melissa Centazzo leads through a paranormal tale of a lawyer suffering the consequences of getting what he wishes for and more in the bargain.

·    Baker's Dozen by Melissa Centazzo is an intimate film of a May/December romance and the choices that can change a life forever.

Several independent films are also on the Scaramouche slate: Beyond the Soul by acclaimed Indian film director/writer Rajiv Anchal (co-written with Melissa Centazzo and Ranjini Iyer) began principal photography in Chicago March 26, 2002; and a short, Slow Motion, written, directed, and produced by Melissa Centazzo is planned to be shot within the 2002-2003 timeframe to capture seasonal elements of the script.

Scaramouche Productions has also acquired the screenplay rights to Shane Gericke's novels, Crusade and Dead Center. These adaptations are to be penned by Melissa Centazzo with Gericke as the story consultant.

Four cable/network television series are also part of Scaramouche’s schedule: If Only, On High, Techies, and Quiet on the Set (all written by Melissa Centazzo).

“We are also very proud to announce our affiliation with Italian-born composer Andrea Centazzo, no relation, in regards to several of our projects.” Mr. Centazzo is an accomplished jazz musician, professor, and a lawyer. He is an extraordinarily talented and gifted musician and person.
