Multi-million £ 118 Group, based in UK, plans to double the size of the operation in India.

Chelmsford, Essex, UK (PRWEB) July 22, 2006 -- Dan Corby, CEO of fast growing UK-based 118 Group has announced plans to double the size of the sales and back office team in Salt Lake City, India.

118 Group opened a call centre in India in June 2005, and after a slow start, the centre has now performed to expectation. On the back of a recent business overview, Dan Corby, CEO and founder, has announced plans to launch sales of Car Auto from Salt Lake City.

118 Group accquired Car Auto last month and will launch the product in September 2006 from a tandom sales operation, from both the UK and India.

This is not about moving jobs from the UK to India, this is about using the cost base of India to grow the UK operation faster and more cost effectively, in turn, generating more UK jobs for the business.

118 Group founded in 2005 now has substantial interests in Media, Directories, Telecoms and Web Portals. The business has recently appointed Business Veteran, Richard Allan as Group Chairman. The sales operation is overseen by Brad Chapman, Commercial Chapman.
