Regional Festival Brings Local Business 2006 Earful of Texas Music Festival generates local business in preparation for inaugural event. Promoter buying, renting, or hiring printing, signage, security services, waste disposal services, fencing, and other festival essentials from local merchants. Corsicana, TX (PRWEB) July 26, 2006 -- The Earful of Texas Music Festival has begun to generate local business as it prepares for its inaugural event. In addition to buying printing services and signage, the festival is purchasing t-shirts and advertising from local suppliers and media. In addition, the festival has begun meeting with volunteers in local restaurants and selling tickets in area stores.
“One of our original goals was to boost local business by buying products and services from area merchants,” said Bill Good, Festival Director and President of Penelope Ventures LLC, the company producing the festival. “Even sponsorships garnered from businesses in the DFW Metroplex or Waco have a local effect since that money will be spent in Hill and Navarro counties on festival essentials, such as printing, signs, fencing, and security.”
During the 2006 Earful Of Texas Music Festival, fans, bands, and staff will generate business for local hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and other stores in Navarro and Hill counties. The festival expects around 5,000 ticket holders, nearly 50 bands and their crew members, plus up to 100 volunteers and staff members.
The Earful of Texas Music Festival celebrates Texas music, giving people a chance to hear a Texas singers, songwriters, and bands playing country, rock, blues, and Americana. This year’s Earful of Texas Music Festival benefits two organizations, with a portion of profits from ticket sales divided evenly between the City of Hubbard Parks Department and the academic programs of Penelope I.S.D. This year’s festival will be on September 30th and October 1st, with campsites available September 29 to October 2.
