Scott will be leading Buckland & Taylor Ltd.’s new office in Seattle, Washington, located in the Queen Anne district. Scott has 15 years of technical structural engineering experience, working on a wide range of infrastructure projects in Canada, the US, Cuba and Sri Lanka. Scott earned his Bachelor’s and Master's degrees from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from the University of Iowa. He is a licensed Structural Engineer in Hawaii, as well as a licensed engineer in Washington State, British Columbia and Alberta. “Scott brings the engineering expertise and the strategic thinking needed to further develop our US Practice. Under his leadership, we plan to significantly build Buckland & Taylor Ltd.’s presence in the US market,” says Mr. Steven Hunt, President. Most recently, Scott served as the Operations Leader for CH2M Hill’s Transportation Business Group, where he provided frontline supervision and leadership for the bridge groups in Des Moines, Iowa and Seattle, Washington and was engaged as Project Manager, Engineer of Record, Senior QC Reviewer, or Task Lead on several concurrent bridge and transportation structure projects, including the SR 519 South Seattle Intermodal Access project and the Marquette Interchange Reconstruction in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "I am thrilled to be joining Buckland & Taylor Ltd.'s world class team that shares the same passion for bridges that I have,” says Scott. “I look forward to leading the Seattle office and expanding Buckland & Taylor Ltd.'s US Presence."
