Bridge World Peace by Hosting an International Exchange Student

Make a difference: Host an international high school exchange student for the 2006/07 semester or school year and show what America is all about.

Wanatchee, WA (PRWEB) August 3, 2006 -- Farah from Kuwait is on her way to the United States for a whole academic year, courtesy of a competitive scholarship she was awarded based on her merit, excellent grades, motivation, and an interview.

AYUSA International, a non-profit youth exchange organization, is looking forward to seeing how she will thrive and contribute to your community. Farah’s interests include basketball, swimming, acting and sign language. She will attend a local high school, live with a local host family, and participate in community activities and service projects. The host family who opens their heart and home to Farah will have the opportunity to broaden their horizons, provide a unique contribution to their community and make a positive impact on global youth.

In addition to Farah, Adelin from Romania, Dionne from the Netherlands, Jeon from Korea and Joao from Brazil will be arriving at the end of August, and are anxiously awaiting to hear from a local family in the area who is interested in hosting an outstanding student. AYUSA students arrive equipped with medical insurance, spending money, a firm command of English and a strong commitment to becoming a member of the local community. The host family is asked only to treat their student as one of their own, providing food, a bed (not necessarily in a private room), and a loving family environment.
