The i PEARL fashion collection will debut in Nantucket at the Vanderbilt Gallery on July 7, 8, and 9, 2010. “This is the first time I’ve featured a fashion designer in the gallery. When I discovered the i PEARL collection, I just knew these jackets and coats were right for the gallery and my customers. The quality designs in rich colors and fabrications are true works of art, ” commented Barbara Vanderbilt.

The collection is the creation of The Ilene Pearl Bannwart, a Bucks County, PA fashion designer with a flair for creating sophisticated, luxurious investment coats and jackets, and related separates that are timeless and effortlessly wearable. i PEARL features couture quality and classic styles of limited edition jackets out of luscious European fabrics lined with an unexpected ‘silk kaleidoscope of color and fashion’. These exclusive meticulously tailored and detailed pieces can be worn as eveningwear or casually with jeans.
“It gives me great pleasure to share my vision for fine fabrics and design with the Vanderbilt Gallery and its clients. I look forward to showing Nantucket natives as well as visitors to the area the i PEARL collection,” added Pearl Bannwart.

ABOUT The i PEARL
The i PEARL collection, known as ‘Luxurious fashions for elegant women’, is the vision of Ilene Pearl Bannwart. Pearl Bannwart launched her concept for the i PEARL collection three years ago. Her firsthand, in depth knowledge of fine custom apparel can be traced back to her family heritage, the love of fine clothing, and the arts. The Bucks County, PA designer was born into a family in St. Louis whose lineage was steeped in the art of crafting fine quality garments. Her ancestors immigrated to America from Russia and Poland, and were skilled artisans in the world of design and tailoring. As a child, she had the good fortune of being outfitted in a custom made wardrobe, which soon became the standard she expected, and continued over the years. She loved fabrics and textiles, and spent hours studying those and poring over pattern books.

Ever the student of fashion, Pearl Bannwart has traveled extensively around the world. This global perspective enhanced her knowledge of the apparel industry and influenced her appreciation of fashion worldwide. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, her focus could have been fashion design, but she followed her avocation for music and voice studies. After a career in development for the nonprofit sector, Pearl Bannwart returned to her love of quality fashion and fine textiles. As the designer of
i PEARL, she is living out her passion by creating styles for elegant, discerning women of all ages and sizes. The i PEARL collection retails from $500 to $2,995 depending on the design’s fabrication. For more information, visit http://www.iPEARLfashions.com
