(PRWEB) August 4, 2006 -- In this interview with Ted Deutch, Democratic candidate for Florida State Senate, Ted covers his views on the home owner's insurance problem, public education in the state, health care and prescription drugs. He also gives his us vision of the "New Florida" which he feels is now possible if the legislature would be more forward thinking and move off its narrow partisan focus.

We are on the brink of a ‘New Florida.” Ted feels with just a little bit of vision from the legislature, we are so close to the golden possibilities to move the state forward in a positive direction which will improve the lives of all it’s citizens. The opportunity is now available for Floridians to capitalize on Scripps and other research institutions moving into south Florida. The Deutch vision of “The New Florida” includes the state taking advantage of bio medical research to encourage, fund and support stem cell research. In what could be another highly profitable and certainly a critical area, the state should be leading the field in research on alternate forms of energy, whether it is ethanol, hydrogen bio mast or solar power- we are “the Sunshine State” after all! If we improve the schools and have a terrific education system we will encourage better jobs to move into Florida. The legislature must be forward thinking and have a vision for the future. We have the capabilities to create the kind of Florida where people will want to live for generations to come.
