New York, NY August 7, 2006 -- Leading independent interactive agency ROKKAN, in cooperation with video game publishing label 2K, has launched a Website to promote the launch of CivCity: Rome, a leading-edge city-building strategy game inspired by the world of Sid Meier's Civilization®. The game allows users to recreate the grandeur of Rome by building, nurturing and managing a small settlement into a powerful imperial city through various decisions and missions.
CivCity: Rome features hundreds of different buildings - amphitheatres, gladiatorial schools, legionnaire forts, weapons workshops and much more- that allow gamers to customize their city as they see fit. CivCity: Rome presents an extraordinarily detailed look into the life of a Roman by incorporating a city-building game first – the ability to look inside buildings to see exactly what your citizens are doing.
To promote the detail-oriented features of CivCity: Rome, ROKKAN created a Website that allows users to take a virtual tour of Rome and view the inner workings of buildings such as the Circus Maximus, Coliseum and Pantheon. The Website, www.2kgames.com/civcityrome, gives users access to a plethora of information about the game, including reviews, hints, downloads, and screenshots. The Website also offers users a first-hand look at the incredible graphics and sophisticated detailing of the game.
ROKKAN has previously collaborated with 2K on a number of other projects such as the Top Spin 2 and The Da Vinci Code Game Websites.
