Kelli Jae Baeli Announces Release of Genre-Bending Suspense Novel, "Achilles Forjan"

A troubled paramedic struggles with personal demons that implicate her in a series of murders, while her friend, a psychic criminal psychologist, tries to prove her innocence.

Eureka Springs, AR (PRWEB) August 12, 2006- "Achilles Forjan" will appeal to lovers of forensics, mystery, and suspense. The author refers to it as a "psychological-mystery-suspense-legal-medical-genre-bending drama." If you like Dean Koontz, "Achilles Forjan" is a must-buy.

Writer's Literary says, "I believe this is a marketable story. It has all of the necessary elements: good characterization; interesting and well-described settings; authentic-sounding dialogue. What’s more, Kelli Jae Baeli is a superb writer! This is some of the best work I’ve ever seen here at WL. We wish her Good luck!"

SUMMARY: Amy Jane Spenser is a Burlington, Vermont, paramedic. Troubled by bouts with sleepwalking, and the strains of her job, she begins to spiral out of control, and in a moment of exhausted frustration, makes a mistake that could cost her everything. This mistake serves as precursor to suspicion by Detective Erica Traywick, and drags her into a maelstrom of self-doubt, despondency and launches a foray into the labyrinths of her own mind. Meanwhile, her friend Karma Kensington, a psychic with a degree in Criminal Psychology, tries desperately to unravel the mystery that surrounds Amy, and prove her innocence, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

As the story unfolds, the players include a Japanese hotel owner and his drug-addicted son, a father who causes the death of his children, an abusive man, bitter from failure, a serial killer who leaves a humiliating gesture as a calling card, a biker gang that deals in drugs and intimidation, and a dead father Amy never knew. With elements of law, homicide, psychology, clairvoyance, medicine and romance, "Achilles Forjan" bends and blends mainstream genres.

"Achilles Forjan" is now being represented by a literary agency in New York, and will soon go to global distribution, but is available now at a discount directly from the printer, via Baeli's website.
