Tom Dillon, Former Netflix COO, Joins Elanex Translation Services as Investor and Board Member

Elanex, Inc. today announces that Tom Dillon, former COO of Netflix, Inc., has made a significant investment, and has joined the Elanex Board of Directors.

Elanex, Inc. today announces that Thomas R. (Tom) Dillon, a successful and seasoned technology executive, has made a significant investment in Elanex and joins the Elanex Board of Directors.

Mr. Dillon served as Netflix’s Chief Operations Officer from April 1999, shortly after the company launched its online DVD business, through to April 2006. During that time, he oversaw the creation of a largely automated system today handling shipment of over 1.3 million DVDs per day from 37 shipping centers around the United States. Mr. Dillon was instrumental in designing the critical automation technologies that have enabled Netflix to continually lower costs, expanding the market for online DVD rental from almost nothing to the mainstream industry it is today.

Prior to joining Netflix, from January 1998 to April 1999, Mr. Dillon served as Chief Information Officer at Candescent Technologies Corp., a manufacturer of flat panel displays. From May 1987 to December 1997, Mr. Dillon served as Chief Information Officer of Seagate Technology, a maker of computer peripherals. Mr. Dillon holds a B.S. from the University of Colorado.
