Soraida Martinez Exhibits Socially Conscious Verdadism Artwork at Third Annual Arts and Cultural Celebration in Harlem, New York City

Manhattan's Community Board 11 Cultural Affairs Committee invites renowned socially conscious artist and former Harlem native, Soraida Martinez, to exhibit her socially conscious art -- which promotes hope, tolerance and social change. This is the third annual arts and cultural celebration highlighting the creativity emanating from New York's Harlem community.

Harlem, New York City (PRWEB) August 11, 2006 -- Meet Soraida and see her socially conscious Verdadism art style at the 3rd Annual Arts and Cultural Networking Celebration in Harlem, New York City. Sponsored by the Manhattan Community Board 11 Cultural Affairs Committee, this event is free to the public and will be held on Saturday, August 19th, from 12PM to 6:30PM at East 106th Street, from Lexington Avenue to 2nd Avenue -- (the Cultural Corridor) and White Park.

A free open edition lithographic print of "Rage: It's My Body," a Verdadism painting addressing abortion and Women's reproductive rights, will be given to every person who stops by Soraida's Verdadism Exhibition. Verdadism art prints, as well as the Verdadism art book, will also be available. Soraida welcomes any socially conscious individual or organization to speak to her about her Verdadism art and philosophy.
