Jamie Gold Wins 2006 WSOP Main Event, the Bracelet and $12,000,000

Jamie Gold has won the 37th annual World Series of Poker and the richest prize in live poker history, $12,000,000.

The final table containing 9 players was played at the Amazon Room, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada and offered total prize money of $82,466,200.

The final table was reduced down to two players on level 36 with the Blinds at $200,000/$400,000 Michael Binger raises $1.5 million and both Paul Wasicka and Jamie Gold call. The flop comes 10-6-5. Michael Binger bets $3.5 million and Gold moves all-in. Wasicka folds and Binger calls. Gold shows 4-3 and Binger A-10. The turn is 7 and the river Q. This gives Gold a 3 to 7 straight and nocks out Binger in 3rd place.

Binger earns $4,1223,310.
