Ocala, FL Tile Installer Joins Forces with Local Ceramic Tile Artist

Local tile installer joins forces with ceramic tile artist. The result is greater than the sum of its parts. Magic spaces are created by two ladies who combine their talents in color and design.

Ocala, FL (PRWEB) August 13, 2006 -- Sherry Horton Tile, Inc. of Ocala, whose motto is "Tile installation with a woman's touch", has joined forces as of July 15, 2006, with Dy Witt of Dy's Art Tiles, whose motto is "When you want the only one". Together these artistic ladies will create kitchens, bathrooms, counters, fireplaces and floors with ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles, and if desired, Dy's one-of-a-kind hand-painted ceramic art tile murals.

Sherry Horton's company is just under one year old, but before incorporating she has installed tile in residential homes for 10 years. Dy Witt has been painting one-of-a-kind ceramic art tile murals for 15 years.

Sherry Horton is an artist herself, but because her tile installation business keeps her so busy, she has no time to paint the murals when her clients ask for them. Along comes Dy Witt who was looking for a local tile company to represent her hand-painted tiles, and, in her words, it "had to be someone who loves my work, which Sherry does, but I was hesitant to occupy the space available because her designs with manufactured tile are so gorgeous. But it works out great because not all clients want my paintings on their backsplashes, so we share the space equally." Sherry says, “I am honored to show my customers Dy’s beautiful tiles, and incorporating them into my walls enhances the beauty of the whole room.”

The two companies combine forces well, the ladies work great together and the results of their joint efforts are fabulous. Sherry's design magic is working with the different shapes, textures and surfaces of plain field tile. She takes inexpensive tiles and, by cutting and shaping them makes the walls and floors look like a high-end decorator was there. Dy's gift is her expression of her respect and love for nature. Fish, wildlife, flowers and grapes in all styles and colors come alive in her murals.

They are accepting work in these counties: Marion, Sumter, Lake, Alachua, Citrus and Levy.
