Magician to Use Sword on Restaurant Owner A magician creates a unique and fun dining experience. San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) August 18, 2006 -- When magician and ventriloquist Joe Libby next appears at The Blue Cactus Cafe, located at 13525 Wetmore Road, San Antonio, Texas, he will utilize the services of a special assistant: Blue Cactus owner Sian Greenwood. Greenwood will find herself in apparent danger when she assists Libby with his “death-defying” sword illusion.
Libby doesn’t want to worry people who will be bringing their children to The Blue Cactus’s family night. “The illusion looks real, but it is just that, an illusion,” he said. “And it’s played for laughs, so adults and kids will get a kick out of it.”
Libby appears on the third Tuesday of the month at The Blue Cactus Cafe as a promotional effort to bring diners to the restaurant.
The sword illusion is only part of Libby’s act. Presenting both a short stage show and close-up magic at the tables, Libby keeps families entertained while they spend the evening at the restaurant.
"It’s gone tremendously well,” said Libby. “The kids light up when I teach them an easy magic trick, or when my ventriloquist puppet, Sagebrush, makes them laugh.”
You can try to catch Joe at his tricks on Tuesday, August 22, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Call The Blue Cactus Café at 210-355-0587 for reservations.
