Teen Internet Community Habbo.Com to Host Hip-Hop/R&B Sensation Jeannie Ortega for Interactive Visit on August 18th

“Habbos” will have opportunity to create music video for hit single “Crowded.”

Los Angeles, CA, August 18, 2006 –- Hip-Hop/R&B sensation Jeannie Ortega will check into Habbo, one of the world’s largest and hottest on-line destinations for teenagers. Jeannie will be on hand to chat about her catchy single “Crowded” and her album "No Place Like BKLYN.”

Using her specially created Habbo character, Jeannie will check into Habbo on Friday, August 18th at 7 PM EST. During the visit, she will hang out with fans and answer questions about her music, tour, and new CD. The interview will be broadcast over Habbo’s exclusive Internet Radio Stream, Bobba Music, hosted by Jackie the DJ (www.bobbamusic.com).

Because Jeannie’s “Crowded” track is also featured on the GirlNext CD that hit stores this August, Hollywood Records is offering Habbos the opportunity to create their own Habbo Animated Music Video for the song. There will be a contest from August 29th-31st in which the performances will be randomly recorded and edited into the Habbo Fans Music Video. In late September, Jeannie will attend the video viewing party. Plus, the final video will be featured on her MySpace page.

Teens interested in becoming members of HABBO and participating in this exciting event should go to www.habbo.com and click on the “check in” button.

About JEANNIE ORTEGA

At just 18 years old, Jeannie wrote 11 of the 12 songs on the album. Having witnessed such horrors as the shootings of some of her friends while growing up in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the only place Jeannie could find happiness was through music. She began writing and singing songs at the age of 8. Her first single, "Crowded," is an upbeat dance/hip-hop track produced by Shock & Karlin (the duo behind Whitney Houston, JoJo, and Fantasia from American Idol). This song is about a cheating boyfriend and a woman rediscovering her independence. A mix between J-Lo and Britney Spears’ song styles, Jeannie’s empowering music and lyrics have already been compared to those of R&B diva Mary J. Blige.
