Moving Mountains Through Strong Mind, Body and Spirit

Without the pressure of daily life, women with PCOS have the opportunity to return “home” to their bodies for deeper awareness and understanding of this complex disorder.

Englewood CO (PRWEB) August 24, 2006 -- There continues to be growing evidence that “lifestyle” is a key factor for success in addressing medical conditions. PCOS - polycystic ovary syndrome - a metabolic disorder that can affect women to cause weight gain, excess facial hair and infertility issues - is just one of those medical conditions for which lifestyle can have a profound impact.

The Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association (PCOSA) will host a lifestyle-focused conference for women with PCOS September 15-17 in Denver, Colorado. Leading the conference will be Rochelle Rice, a nationally-recognized speaker, author, and educator. Her work focuses on empowering women by connecting the body, the mind, and the heart through focus, movement, and breath.

Over the past decade, Rochelle Rice has worked with a diverse range of professionals and individuals from across the nation to create an encompassing approach to well-being that has enhanced the lives and health of women of size.

Previously, Rochelle established the In Fitness & In Health Wellness Center for plus-size women, located in midtown Manhattan. Rochelle is also the author of Real Fitness for Real Women (Warner, 2001).

"This conference is truly a monumental shift in helping women living with PCOS. We are creating a safe environment where the participants will be able to integrate not only the medical information from our key speakers, but the lifestyle aspects of breathwork, movement and nutrition." Rice said

Denver and its love for the outdoors will be a remarkable setting for this year’s event. The women will have the space and freedom to embrace themselves fully for who they are and anchor deeply within them a lifestyle that will transform their daily lives.
