Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 24, 2006

Raggs LLC, parent company for the Raggs Kids Club® Band and “Raggs”® TV series, will offer digital downloads of the band’s extensive music library for a fee directly from the company’s website, http://www.Raggs.com, beginning today.

“The international debut of the “Raggs” TV series in Australia this year and extensive global touring has increased demand for the Raggs Kids Club Band music around the world,” according to Jason Priest, Raggs LLC Tour & Distribution Manager. “Even our youngest fans understand the ability to go to the Internet for immediate gratification.”

Raggs’ Webmaster, Dabney Estile, added, “The improved technology has made it easy to download high quality individual songs or entire albums and we’ll continue to add online access for our fans and their parents to meet the growing needs.”

The Raggs Kids Club Band’s music is also available at over 50 online retailers including popular digital sites such as iTunes and Napster and retail sites such as CDBaby and Amazon.com. Digital prices vary from approximately .69 to .99 per song, but compilation albums or subscription services can reduce the cost per song to as low as .11 each. Raggs charges .79 per song on its website. The band is currently offering the songs via five albums, “Raggs Super Hits,” which includes the TV Theme song, “Pawsuuup!,” “Unleashed,” “Red, White & Raggs” and “Holiday Jam.”

“Raggs is fortunate to have a long-term, exclusive relationship with an award-winning music studio, Concentrix Music and Sound Design in Charlotte, NC,” Toni Steedman, Raggs’ Founder and President, said, “and the Concentrix ‘dream team’ has written, arranged or produced all of the 120+ songs recorded by the Raggs Kids Club Band.”

Raggs has grown a loyal fan base in the US through touring and TV specials. However, half way around the world a new crop of fans is emerging. Raggs LLC and Southern Star International in Sydney, Australia, joined forces last year to produce 65 episodes of an original TV series titled “Raggs.” The show debuted on Seven Network in Australia, one of the leading broadcasters in the country, on January 2, 2006. Since then, the show has scored top ratings, averaging approximately 50% market share for the past 13 weeks. Raggs will launch the series in Singapore and Ireland in September and expects to announce additional broadcast commitments in the coming months.

The “Raggs” TV show stars the live band and their pet cat, Dumpster, in a lifestyle program about living a happy life through music, discovery and humor. The half hour show also features the band in concerts, music videos and mini-animated cartoons. The show meets Australian broadcast criteria for educational programming and is written for 4-6 year olds.

“We are committed to producing the highest quality children’s programming,” Toni Steedman, Raggs’ founder and president, said, “and that includes some of the best music in the industry. The Raggs concept is all about the music and we have been road testing the songs through our live concert shows—much to the delight of children and their parents!”

While the majority of The Raggs Kids Club Band song list is original compositions, it also includes popular cover tunes, classic holiday carols and patriotic songs. In 2005, their original song, “Bow Wow Boogie,” was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. In addition, the band has won numerous industry awards including The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval, iParenting Media Awards, The Creative Child Award, and was nominated for two regional Emmy Awards for the “Pawsuuup” TV special in 2005.
