The Plastic Surgery Institute of Southeast Texas is proud to announce that they are now offering Juvederm® XC with lidocaine to their patients in the Houston, Texas area. This new formulation of the popular dermal filler, approved by the FDA in February 2010, provides patients with the same effective, long lasting results while eliminating any pain associated with earlier formulations.

Juvederm is a dermal filler used to restore volume to your facial region, providing a more youthful appearance. It is ideally suited to treat nasolabial folds as well as deep and fine line wrinkles. Juvederm is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin. The new formulation, Juvederm XC, contains the local anesthetic lidocaine to provide patients with additional comfort during their procedure.

The lidocaine numbs the treatment area almost instantly, often eliminating the need for an additional anesthetic. As a result, patients often complete their treatment in a shorter time period. Juvederm XC is one of the few FDA approved dermal fillers that will last up to one year.
