Savadelis Films Wins WEVA’s Top Creative Excellence Award for Outstanding Wedding Video

Savadelis Films continues to add to their already crowded trophy case with the most coveted award in the wedding videography industry, the Gold WEVA Creative Excellence Award.

The WEVA Expo is the world’s largest convention and trade show for wedding videographers. The Creative Excellence Awards are the wedding video industry's most exclusive and most coveted award for peer recognition of outstanding wedding videography. Only one Gold Medal is presented in each of fifteen categories annually.

"Memoirs" was filmed at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga, California, where scenes from Memoirs of a Geisha were filmed. The tone and texture perfectly matched the Asian cultural influences of the bride’s and groom’s wedding. The WEVA judges especially enjoyed the subtle effect of transforming bare branches into an arbor laden with blossoming wisteria as the groom walked under the arbor on his way to meet his bride.

The Telly Awards showcase the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, and television stations. Judges received over 12,000 entries. This year's winners include NBC, Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, Nike, the San Francisco 49ers, the History Channel and Universal Studios.
