Cambridge’s Community Outreach Director Discusses Debt and Employee Productivity on the Strictly BusiNews Show

Lack of productivity due to indebtedness costs businesses billions each year.

The latest episode of Strictly Businews, a web-based talk show dedicated to examining the latest business trends, featured Jessica Lynn Steininger, Order Management Specialist for Lego, and Thomas Fox, Cambridge Credit Counseling’s Community Outreach Director. Along with the show’s hosts, Alfonso Santaniello and Cori Verteramo, the guests discussed various marketing, social media, and employment trends affecting businesses. The show’s Hot Topic segment featured Thomas Fox, who provided insight into the challenges employers face when dealing with employee indebtedness.

“The economic downturn has had an obvious effect on businesses; however, the issue of employee indebtedness is something new that business owners and managers have to contend with,” said Fox. “American businesses lose $210 billion dollars each year as employees struggle to deal with personal financial issues, but there are resources available to stem those losses.”

The show was filmed on location at the Bing Arts Center in Springfield, MA, which was also featured in the episode’s Business Spotlight.
