Lost Coast Forge Retains AcuteVisibility to Launch Integrated Marketing Campaign and Online Presence AcuteVisibility|BMO, an integrated marketing and branding agency, inks contract with Lost Coast Forge to develop a comprehensive branding and marketing campaign to promote LCF's award winning metalwork and forged products to the architectural and design communities. Fort Lauderdale, FL and Fort Bragg, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2010 AcuteVisibility|BMO will be launching a comprehensive marketing and branding initiative for Lost Coast Forge, a small but prolific metalwork shop that specializes in unique custom forged products and multidisciplinary design consultation for architectural and premium decorative products. The Lost Coast Forge Story Located on Mendocino County’s picturesque Highway One just north of Fort Bragg, Lost Coast Forge (LCF) was named for the 80 miles of virtually untouchable coastline that stretches roughly between Rockport and Ferndale. Sporting his customary crooked grin, LCF proprietor and blacksmith Toby Hickman challenges: “If you’re rude enough to find me, I might just forge you some iron.” Something of a celebrity in the artisanal blacksmith community, Toby Hickman is known both for wry humor and serious talent. Hickman founded Waylan Smithy in Sonoma County in 1975 as a means to turn his love of forging steel into a livelihood. He sold Waylan Smithy in 2002 and retired to Mendocino County, where he established Lost Coast Forge. In continued pursuit of Hickman’s passion for working with metal, Lost Coast Forge accepts private and commercial ironwork commissions and metalsmithing design consultation projects in the modest but well equipped shop. Hickman’s Lost Coast Forge produces forged accessories for commercial interiors and exteriors, signage, furniture and lighting. Products include tables, grills, railings, gates, screens, torchiers, sconces, chandeliers, candelabras, and any number of decorative pieces. What has always differentiated Hickman is his collaborative focus and preference for interfacing with designers from various disciplines to create distinctive finished products. Through his control of texture and form, Hickman helps a project transcend its initial concept to achieve profound fullness and depth. The AcuteVisibility Mandate AcuteVisibility|BMO will be developing an integrated marketing campaign for Lost Coast Forge, starting with building out the LCF website and online presence, and later to include a comprehensive social media strategy, online marketing promotion, media campaign and knowledge leadership initiative. “I have been working with Toby Hickman since 1993,” stated Lyza Latham, founder and principal of AcuteVisibility. “My first agency, The Myriad Group, was the agency of record for Waylan Smithy for almost 10 years.” “This project offered the opportunity to continue telling the remarkable story of contemporary forged ornamental metalwork,” Latham continued. “There’s a whole community of artisans who have taken this authentic process and continued to develop it within the context of the 21st Century.” About Lost Coast Forge
