Montville, NJ (PRWEB) September 10, 2006

Marotta Controls is proud to announce that its valves and manifolds continue to be an integral fiber in the muscle behind the military, as the US Navy commissions the USS Texas (SSN 775), the newest Virginia Class Attack Submarine.

For decades Marotta’s valves and controls have been designed into various systems on board the US Navy’s submarines, and continues that tradition with manifolds, regulators and pressure reducing valves serving in the most critical systems on the Texas.

With its improved stealth and surveillance capabilities, the Texas can attack targets ashore with highly accurate tomahawk cruise missiles and conduct covert long-term surveillance of land areas, littoral waters and other sea forces. A modular design on the Texas along with other sister submarines of the Virginia class will enable the Texas to accommodate technology upgrades throughout its life.

“Marotta is a key contributor to every US surface combatant and submarine that goes to sea,” said Michael Leahan, Vice President and Chief Sales Officer. “We are proud to be part of the USS Texas and our Navy’s future, which continuously aims to use the most advanced technologies available.”
