– At the Water Technologies Convention and Exposition today, Selective Micro Technologies, creators of Selectrocide®, the world’s first point-of-use, 99% pure chlorine dioxide disinfectant, will demonstrate a new treatment for chronically contaminated water systems. Along with water treatment experts, 21st Century Innovations, Selective Micro® will show how 99% pure chlorine dioxide generated in small batches at the point of use can significantly reduce or eliminate microorganisms that contaminate industrial water systems, closed-loop cooling systems, home water systems and wells.

The use of chlorine dioxide – the world’s most effective killer of harmful bacteria, fungus, virus and mold – has not been possible in most water treatment systems because the generation of chlorine dioxide has not been possible at the point of use. Selectrocide® allows point-of-use generation of 99% pure chlorine dioxide without any harmful residual chemicals. Simply add water, and the chlorine dioxide will generate.

Demonstrations will take place in booth 104 (21st Century Innovations) and in booth 114 (Selective Micro Technologies) at the Water Technologies Convention and Exposition in the Charlotte Convention Center.
